What I Learned Trying Out Every Guitar At Guitar Center
Some people imagine themselves in cool-ass cars. Like a Tesla or Mazda Miata. But that’s not me.
I fantasize about playing cool-ass guitars.
I’ve been playing guitar since I was 12. Both electric and acoustic. Since then, I’ve always loved going to Guitar Center and ogling all the cool-ass guitars.
Most of the time I’d just look, not touch. But recently I decided to change that.
Last week I went to Guitar Center and tried out every single guitar I could get my hands on.
Here is what I learned.
1. I really want $3000 to buy this one guitar.
Of all the guitars I tried out, my favorite guitar was this $3,000 Gibson acoustic guitar.
At first I was wary to even hold such an expensive guitar. I doubted if I had the $3000 worth of skill to be playing it. But then my brain kicked in and said, “Hassan, you’re worthy. You’re enough. You deserve to play ANY guitar in this store, whether you’re a total beginner or expert, doesn’t matter.”
