Sometimes A Guy Just Needs To Watch A Rom-Com.
A few weeks ago, I watched Love Actually for the first time.
Sitting on my couch that evening, I found myself engulfed in a perfect storm of holiday vibes, nothing to do, and feeling not-so-great emotionally.
I’d known it was a holiday staple. So when the movie popped up on my Netflix home screen, I was intrigued.
“But it’s a rom-com!” my insecure man-brain grunted between sets of deadlifts in the gym in my brain.
Well, whatever man-brain. Some rom(ance) and com(edy) could do me good.
Plus, since when was I so self-conscious about my masculinity?
(Oh wait… nevermind.)

Rom-coms have drama and conflict, just like any other genre.
