My stupid excuses for not writing

  • It’s too early in the day. I’ll do it later.
  • It’s too late in the day. I’m more productive in the morning.
  • It’s the middle of the day. The time’s not right.
  • Argh, I forgot my notebook at home. All I have is my laptop. But I really brainstorm best in my notebook. Guess I’ll just wait til I get back home.
  • I’m back home! Time to start writi— Meh, I kinda liked the vibe of the coffee shop better.
  • Back at coffee shop. It’s too hot in here.
  • At another coffee shop. Now it’s too cold.
  • My apartment is a comfortable 72 degrees. Nah, something’s off. It’s too quiet and lonely.
  • Back at the coffee shop. It’s too noisy.
  • At another coffee shop. No one’s here. It’s too quiet and lonely. Might as well be in my apartment. Plus, it’s less cold at home. THAT’S where I’ll start writing.
  • My apartment’s not creatively inspiring. I should go to an art gallery.
  • The Art Institute of Chicago is closed.
  • The Museum of Contemporary Art is closed.
  • Darn. That would’ve been so inspiring. If only they were open, I’d have written something amazing by now.
