I’ve been on Medium awhile now. Over the years, I’ve loved the ability to discover new writers.
One new writer on Medium happens to be my friend, Alfonso Zapata. I recommend you follow him.
Yes, I’m biased because Alf is my friend. A friend who I’m totally going to embarrass right now (he has NO idea I’m writing this. lol Alf!)
Alf’s writing is what Medium needs more of: Personal essays about life shit that cut to the core but are still highly entertaining to read.
As a humor writer, I’ve always kept a bit of a distance from my “feelings” (what are those?). Which is why I love Alf’s candor and hold-nothing-back approach to all his writing. While still keeping it funny.
So yeah, if you like personal humor essays with a nice dose of reality, you’ll love his stuff. He will be writing a new essay every week. (Which I’m so excited about.)
