Greetings from the Island of Blissful Ignorance!

Day # ??? (I lost count)
It’s been a long while since I intentionally marooned myself on this island: The Island of Blissful Ignorance.
What was life like before The Island?
On the mainland, it was full of checking news apps and Twitter feeds and Facebook and CNN, all before getting out of bed in the morning. Or whenever there was some downtime at work. Or while eating food. (Ah, fond memories of the days when I didn’t have to spear fish for my survival.)
Every day, I was full of information. Not all of it uplifting. In fact, most of it was downright depressing, anxiety-provoking, or made me compare myself to others in an unhealthy wayy~~~~
(Sorry for the scribble there, a seagull just dove into my long beard for some leftover fish crumbs. It happens occasionally.)
So yes, there I was, phone and Internet connection in hand, plugged into the world all the time. Knowing who said what and what happened where and fuming at whatever latest thing our government did.
